The Industrial Controls and Automation Technologies (ICAT℠) training program is designed to meet the needs of local employers in various fields. Located in York, Pennsylvania, this program prepares students for a career in the troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic control systems which operate today's automated manufacturing equipment.
The ICAT℠ program educates students using hands-on projects that are designed and built by the students themselves. Class sizes are limited to six students to ensure each student receives an appropriate amount of individual attention.
Taught by Stew Fink, the ICAT℠ continuing education program is built on a 33 year career in manufacturing, providing students with the knowledge needed to succeed. Students who finish the program are able to find successful jobs in a fulfilling career.
Manufacturing is in high demand in Pennsylvania, and especially in York, Adams, and Cumberland Counties. High speed automation is the driving force in today’s manufacturing plants. This equipment is highly sophisticated, using the latest technologies available to operate and control these production machines.
Stew Fink and his company have provided qualified graduates to many manufacturers in this area and in regions of northern Maryland. Students have come from as far as Juniata County to receive his training. Commonly understood as Industrial Automation Controls, Mr. Fink’s ICAT℠ program is currently being taught in the West York Borough and Police Department Building located at 1381 West Poplar Street, York, PA 17404, in room C21, located on the 2nd floor. Mr. Fink has spent more than 30 years traveling throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.
